Here are some frequently asked questions from our users:
Where does the name Pixel Park come from?
- We were stuck on what to name the project! We had this huge list of possibilities and I narrowed it down to something that had the word pixel in it. I wanted to use something with pixel in it to represent the game's design, which uses pixels. The rest is history. Today, Pixel Park represents a futuristic world that focuses on allowing users to create a healthy relationship with not only others, but the environment as well. We love our planet.
Why was Pixel Park created to begin with?
- From the start, we knew we wanted to revamp the current MMO gaming industry, as many Flash games were failing at the start of this project. We want to not make money an issue, as it always is with other games. We have a strong belief in wanting to put our users first. By applying this principle, most of the feedback we have received from our fans has been welcomed, and in many ways much appreciated. This game has truly been the result of many users providing us with what they want to see in a multiplayer online game. This game really started with a couple of people who wanted to make a difference in this industry.
What does M stand for?
Can I play the game yet?
What made you pick to use people for the avatars in the game instead of animals or something fictional?
- Who wants to be a penguin or some other critter...?
Why are the avatars in this game always on hover boards?
- Well, it adds a futuristic touch to the game. Another big reason is from a development perspective. Floating is a lot easier to achieve versus adding walking mechanics to the game. Animations require a lot more time to accomplish, so that is something we will sacrifice with Pixel Park. Down the road we may add some facial animations for your avatars, or allow special costumes that you wear to trigger animations.
